Photo of the week: Watching over you December 20, 2006
I thought I'd break my rule about no baby pictures in the Photo of the Week so that I could make the last three posts a trifecta about Mandy. Besides, I really like this one, even with my mug in there. The picture was taken by Geralyn, who also made one of its subjects.

She is SO beautiful-- I just checked my Flickr Contacts, and I saw that you had new baby pictures. At first I thought they were Sam, and then remembered you two were expecting. :-D Congratulations! And thank you for the photos; it's wonderful to be let in on such a special and precious event.

Congratulations! That's one good thing about a C-section baby -- she is beautiful and unsquished.
I've visited your site since Ben MacNeill pointed it out, but I've never commented before now. I originally came for the parenting stuff, but now I am equally interested in your photos and photography advice. Thanks for sharing.

Congrats Sammie on becoming a big sister! You'll do a great job! Also, congrats to your mommy and daddy - don't worry, Jamie. The 2nd can be easier, just different. Can't tell you the number of times we've said "Kid #1 never did THAT!"

Thanks everyone! And Nicole: I know what you mean about the c-section delivery. Sam came out with the cone head, which was not only funny looking but very tender for days afterwords. I think it hurt her to lie on it wrong which woke her up a lot and made her fussy.

Beautiful photo - even with you in it! As a matter of fact, no baby is worth anything without those that love it.
